Junior Food is a unique compact food printer with automatic operation. The innovative smart system allows you to start printing with the touch of a button. The printer is devoid of the shortcomings that similar products from other manufacturers have. The printer is controlled by buttons from the control panel, has various protections and locks against misuse, and the operator does not need to wait for any signals or press plates, levers to start printing. It is enough to put the product and press the button. The printer will do everything by itself.

The Junior Food printer has a built-in electric head cleaning pump. Therefore, the printer can be cleaned both automatically and manually. This allows you to easily fix printing problems without special skills and abilities, and also save money. Everything is as simple and accessible as possible.

The height of the table is adjusted manually by rotating a special wheel. For most tasks, manual adjustment is sufficient. Maximum print height 7.5 cm: Can be printed on paper, gingerbread, cupcakes, etc.

Junior Food is more suitable for home producers and smaller pastry shops that mainly print on gingerbread cookies or macarons. It is cheaper, but requires manual work to set the height.

FoodBox is equipped with a laser sensor that automatically detects the product height and adjusts the printer accordingly. Its maximum product height is up to 16 cm, allowing printing on large cakes and other confectionery products, and it also works significantly faster (up to 2–3 times faster).

Why does Junior Food have higher resolution?

The whole difference is in the printhead technology.

Junior Food is based on photo-printer technology designed for especially fine details on smooth surfaces (for example, edible paper).

Food Box uses an industrial printhead optimized for speed and ink flow. Since food surfaces (cakes, cookies) are rarely perfectly smooth, resolutions exceeding 1200 dpi on such textures are usually indistinguishable to the human eye.

Semi-automatic vs Automatic printhead cleaning:

Junior Food: You have to monitor the printer status yourself. You start the cleaning process manually using the printer menu or by pressing a button. The printer doesn’t “know” that it’s dirty; it will wait for your command.

Food Box: The printer performs maintenance cycles on its own. It has built-in timers and counters that automatically clean the printhead after a certain time or number of prints, even if you forget to do it.

The main difference: FoodBox is equipped with a special manual pumping mode. If the printer hasn’t been used for a long time and the ink has dried a bit, you can use a physical button to force ink through the system without increasing the internal software waste-ink counters. In contrast, in the case of Junior Food you would need to run several standard cleaning cycles, which are slower and less effective in cases of severe clogging.

Tip: > If you plan to print rarely (for example, once a week), FoodBox’s automatic functions will better protect the expensive printhead from clogging.
