An intelligent printer control system allows you to control the printer with the press of a couple of buttons. To start printing, one button press is enough, and the system will do everything by itself. The printer is equipped with various security systems that allow you to operate the printer safely, reliably and for a long time.

The MPrint Food Box printer has a fast printing speed. There are no such printers on the market yet, it is the fastest in its category. Built-in high-capacity ink tanks and CISS make it possible not to be distracted by frequent level control. Also, our engineers have provided and put into a separate container the ink that is consumed when cleaning the printer. No more leaks and dirt in food production environments. The printer does not require special maintenance, it automatically cleans the print head. But even for ink changes or when the printer is idle, the Food Box has a special manual pumping mode. Just press the button and the print head will be pumped, while the built-in waste counters will not be increased.

Main features

FoodBox is equipped with a laser sensor that automatically detects the product height and adjusts the printer accordingly. Its maximum product height is up to 16 cm, allowing printing on large cakes and other confectionery products, and it also works significantly faster (up to 2–3 times faster).

Junior Food is more suitable for home producers and smaller pastry shops that mainly print on gingerbread cookies or macarons. It is cheaper, but requires manual work to set the height.

Why does Junior Food have higher resolution?

The whole difference is in the printhead technology.

Junior Food is based on photo-printer technology designed for especially fine details on smooth surfaces (for example, edible paper).

Food Box uses an industrial printhead optimized for speed and ink flow. Since food surfaces (cakes, cookies) are rarely perfectly smooth, resolutions exceeding 1200 dpi on such textures are usually indistinguishable to the human eye.

Food Box: The printer performs maintenance cycles on its own. It has built-in timers and counters that automatically clean the printhead after a certain time or number of prints, even if you forget to do it.

Junior Food: You have to monitor the printer status yourself. You start the cleaning process manually using the printer menu or by pressing a button. The printer doesn’t “know” that it’s dirty; it will wait for your command.

The main difference: FoodBox is equipped with a special manual pumping mode. If the printer hasn’t been used for a long time and the ink has dried a bit, you can use a physical button to force ink through the system without increasing the internal software waste-ink counters. In contrast, in the case of Junior Food you would need to run several standard cleaning cycles, which are slower and less effective in cases of severe clogging.

Tip: If you plan to print rarely (for example, once a week), FoodBox’s automatic functions will better protect the expensive printhead from clogging.

Important! It is very important to make sure that the tanks never remain completely empty, because air in the tubes can damage the print head!!

Since this device is used for food preparation, it cannot be returned after use.
